With cover stars including Yung Lean, Rachel Sennott, Loli Bahia, Chase Infiniti, Owen Cooper, Dara Gueye and August Barron, the Shadow issue is a careful exploration of the repressed parts of the brain we’re typically afraid of confronting. Each cover star, in their own way, makes sense of the world and their experiences by grappling with the ‘shadows’. 'Shadow' Issue Mag Drop at magCulture, Dec 2025 Editor in Chief Ted Stansfield says: “Amid bleak times, the Shadow issue of Dazed delves deep into the repressed parts of the brain we’d prefer to look away from, both as individuals and societies. Through its pages, a fearless rollcall of creatives making sense of the world by confronting its darkness head-on.” Clubbers not only got to call dibs on their favourite cover among the star-studded list of creatives gracing the final Dazed issue of 2025, they also had the chance to speak with the team behind the issue. In attendance were Dazed’s art director Ester Mejibovski, junior photo producer Gloria Cialfi, and designer Julia Villard, who were able to share their insights and tidbits on what it’s like working at a print magazine. All the while enjoying drinks courtesy of Ghost Labs and Dalston’s – a gorgeous way to wrap up an action-packed year for Dazed Club. Escape the algorithm!
