Then, Down to Earth, the final cover reveal for Dazed Issue V followed, with editor-in-chief Ibrahim Kamara and photographer Raphael Pavarotti exploring the cosmos via Riccardo Tisci’s Pre-Fall 2022 collection. Now, the big Burberry summer continues in the form of a three day creative takeover of a whole building on Whitby Street, London, bringing everything from film screenings to screenprinting sessions to east London. Taking place between Friday, June 24 and Sunday, June 26, Dazed and Burberry are joining forces to bring you an energising and inspiring weekend led by collectives, creatives, and community figures. Featuring a jam-packed programme (watch this space for that), the Whitby Street takeover will see some of today’s most important next gen creators from across the realms of fashion, art, poetry, beauty, photography, filmmaking, and music converge on the London location to showcase what they do best. In a nod to Pride in the capital – taking place the following weekend – the Shoreditch-based affair will be bathed in the intimate words of poet, model and former Dazed 100-er Kai-Isaiah Jamal and Jota Mombaça, as a mural by them covers the Whitby Street building. Trans+ model agency WIMP will also lead a unique movement therapy workshop. Elsewhere, Black storytelling platform Prim hosts a pop-up library and talk, Nat the Barber runs a pop-up salon, Fenn O’Meally brings a film club to town, William Farr conducts a floral sculpture workshop, and the safe hands of Prestige Pak, Hasani, Jordss, Mischa Notcutt and Skinny Macho will be responsible for the weekend’s audio curation. Plus, we'll be dishing out magazines. Early bird tickets are limited to just 100 per day, but you’ll find more info on how to get your hands on a pair here.
