Launched this week, the collaboration introduces a tattooed take on the brand’s signature pimple patches that have become so beloved by both celebrities and school children alike. Leaning into tattoo subculture, the collection features patches inspired by original artwork from tattoo artists Keegan Dakkar, Sean Kennedy, Rachel Lu, and David Enth. The designs feature a script motif, the signature Heaven double-headed teddy, a spider and a tattoo-inspired ‘mom’ motif, all made with Starface’s signature hydrocolloid formula. In true Heaven clout-bombing style, the accompanying campaign sees these designs brought to life by a stacked line-up chronically online favourites, with the patches tatting up the faces of BB Trickz, Slushy Noobz's Hamzah, beabadoobee, Lil Uzi Vert and Nettspend in a series of raw, grunge-inspired passport-style shots captured by Morgan Maher. Courtesy of Starface This release marks a noticeable shift for Starface, a brand that’s garnered a cult following with its playful, collectible acne patches that quickly came to scatter across the faces of teens worldwide, changing the perception of pimple treatments in the process. While past collaborations with Hello Kitty, Sesame Street and SpongeBob SquarePants leaned into nostalgia and cuteness, this collaboration embraces the grittier, DIY aesthetic that has come to define the Heaven empire. The youth culture brand has always known how to speak to subcultural obsession, and this isn’t the first time Heaven has ventured into the realm of tattoo culture. In 2023, they released a book of temporary tattoos curated by Manon Macasaet, featuring works by artists such as Bladee and Harmony Korine. That same year, the brand teamed up with Bleach London on a collection of colourful hair dyes designed to make you look like an apocalyptic teen straight out of a Gregg Araki film. With this latest Starface collaboration, Heaven continues to keep its finger on the pulse of what gets ultra-online kids buzzing. The Starface x Heaven by Marc Jacobs compact ($19/£15) will be available online to shop on starface.world + marcjacobs.com and in-store at Heaven by Marc Jacobs LA and London shops.
