Cyrus will be the face of the Italian house’s Flora Gorgeous Gardenia perfume, which will launch online on July 30 and in stores worldwide on August 1. Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele will work on the campaign with Cyrus and Collins. Speaking to WWD, Michele described Cyrus as “an artist with a spirit that is both rock ‘n’ roll and eclectic at the same time”. He added that the musician will perfectly embody the scent and the story behind it. This isn’t the first time Cyrus has worked with Gucci. In April, the artist appeared in a self-directed video for Michele’s Aria collection, and shared behind-the-scenes images on her own Instagram account. Collins is also no stranger to Gucci, having modelled for the house in 2016, directed a film in 2017, and shot its DIY service launch video in 2018. Although there’s no further details about the perfume campaign as of yet, the news sees Cyrus join a long list of impressive Gucci collaborators, including Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Lana Del Rey, Jared Leto, and more.
