Since then, the simulation game has inspired countless virtual art shows, high fashion bootleg attire, and even IRL political protests – not to mention, a smart buttplug. Nearly a year on, Colourpop is transporting us back to our island utopias with its very own New Horizons collection. The launch features 11 super cute new products to add to your make-up collection, with shades inspired by colours found in Animal Crossing. There’s four eyeshadow palettes, three tinted lip sets, two powder blushes, a shimmery Super Shock Shadow, and glitter gel. Each palette is inspired by a different Animal Crossing character, like the purple Labelle of the Ball Palette with clothing shop owners the Able Sisters or the Tom Nook-inspired mint-green Nook Inc. Palette. There’s a brown and neutral palette based on owls Blathers and Celeste, owners of museum and observatory, and a pink palette with Isabelle (AKA the yellow dog who doubles as your in-game assistant). To celebrate the launch of this collection, you can pay a visit to the Colourpop Island in the video game, where the Queens Gaming Collective will be doing a Twitch live stream takeover of the island on January 26. The Animal Crossing: New Horizons collection is available from Colourpop on January 28.
