Are all influencer beauty products doomed to be bad or do we just love the schadenfreude derived from finding fault in the products of bloggers?  

Following on from Jaclyn Hill and Jeffree Star dramas, Tati Westbrook has become the latest influencer to be criticised for faulty products. Earlier this month, the make-up artist dropped Blendiful, a new make-up tool that promised to be a “game-changing” step up from traditional make-up brushes and blenders. “This one is like a game-changer. This one is going to be the thing that is so different, changes it all, and really helps everybody's beauty routine,” she told Entertainment Tonight in December.

Well, so far it seems it has not lived up to these lofty claims. Since the release, many upset customers have taken to social media to speak out about the tools literally falling apart. Despite Westbrook claiming that the puffs are reusable and machine washable, people have found that the Blendifuls are ripping after only one or two washes or in some cases just through normal use. 

“So @tatibeauty I love my blendiful but while simply washing it and not even that rough it literally ripped at the seem, what can I do?” tweeted @craxyconfused. “I have barely used it long and I don't think that is right, I was not being rough with it at all.”

@vkayvie wrote “@TatiBEAUTY @GlamLifeGuru when I saw your new product coming out I was so excited, so I got the Blendiful for $28.90, I live in France so I'd to pay the international shipping. Tried it twice, liked it. I'm washing it for the 2nd time & it's ripped already #tatibeauty”.

While @ChasingJme03 said “@GlamLifeGuru #blendiful #blendifulripped I know some people had issues with theirs tearing after the first wash. I haven't even washed it yet. Anybody had any success fixing this? I'm sad because I love Tati and really like it but for $18 I expect it to last more than a day.”

Other customers, meanwhile, are complaining that it is hard to clean the puffs after using them for foundation. “My foundation WILL NOT COME OUT no matter how many times I wash. I tried dish soap, baby shampoo, blender cleanser, hand soap, and just today threw it in the wash and nothing. Dawn will get oil spill grease out of baby ducks but can’t get foundation off the #blendiful” tweeted @BeautyByEwa.

Westbrook has yet to respond to the concerns.
