In this section, we'll be hosting a series of interactive classes designed to make you feel calmer, happier and more at peace. It was initially as a means to help his performance in Jiu-Jitsu that Artur Paulins first tried out breathwork. But after discovering a noticeable improvement in his anxiety, he began making a daily commitment to the practice. “It powerfully focused my mind, even in extreme situations,” he says. “It felt like uncovering a secret superpower I had always had hidden deep inside me.” It wasn’t until he sustained a serious injury during a Jiu-Jitsu competition, however, that Artur really had the time and mind space to explore the techniques of Wim Hof whose popular self-named method combines breathwork with cold water immersion techniques. After becoming hooked, he travelled to the Netherlands becoming one of the first international instructors of the Wim Hof method. Now Artur teaches a combination of breathwork, yoga, Jiu-Jitsu and cold therapy, creating a simple and accessible pathway for people to discover the multitude benefits and apply the practices in their everyday lives. “I see breathwork as a gateway to calm our minds, which are constantly bombarded by messages, emails, advertising and all the big and small choices that we have to make every day,” he says. “Breathwork is the simplest way I’ve found to get into meditation.” Head over to the Dazed Beauty Instagram to watch live as Artur takes us through a breathwork session.
