As You Are traces the lives of a trio of outsiders, brought together by a haze of weed, teen angst and grief post-Kurt Cobain’s death. Featuring actor and activist Amandla Stenberg, Stranger Things’ Charlie Heaton and Boardwalk Empire’s Owen Campbell, As You Are is directed by newcomer Miles Joris-Peyrafitte, who is 23 years old. The story of a tested bond in a small town is told through a mysterious police investigation – one of the group isn’t present during interrogations, but their fate, the crime and motive is unknown. It premiered at Sundance earlier in the year, winning the special jury prize. As You Are will be released on Amazon in 2017. Watch the trailer, which premiered on The Hollywood Reporter, below.
