Marilyn Manson, the kingpin of perversion, will be playing a self-described “bogeyman” in Corey Asraf and John Swab’s upcoming film Let Me Make You A Martyr. After getting his thesp on in Sons of Anarchy, he’s teaming up once again with Anarchy actor Mark Boone Junior for this crime movie about an abusive father (Boone) who will stop at nothing to hunt down his borderline incestuous progeny.

In it, adopted siblings June and Drew Glass (from different parents) fall in love and have to hide it from their murderous dad Larry. The pair hit the road to dodge their father’s wrath. Enter: Manson. Jobbing as a hitman for hire, he goes after the adopted son after Larry gives him a ring, and the manhunt commences. How did he land the part?

“Within the first day, I was asked if I wanted to skin a coyote,” Manson told Rolling Stone. “It was already dead. And I was asked to burn down a house and ‘kill’ a bunch of people, so the answer was yes obviously.”

Just when you thought the story had all the weird it needed, Manson’s character is also Native American. He didn’t know that his character, Pope, was Native American at the time of casting, but to him it didn’t prove problematic. “I am part Indian,” he continues, adding, “I really didn't have to change too much about myself physically,” he says. “I already had just shaved my hair to a Mohawk and it's black already, so without being stereotypical, that seems like the character would have that if he was part Indian. I think originally they had envisioned someone with long black hair.”
