The teen comedy is getting a reboot with Jennifer AnistonShareLink copied ✔️May 6, 2015Arts+CultureNewsTextTrey Taylor Forget the straight-to-DVD sequel Mean Girls 2. A spin-off of the original Mean Girls film is reportedly on its way – and it only took 11 years. This time, however, it's about the mums. According to Deadline, Mean Moms is said to "match the spirit" of Mean Girls but with an older female cast. It will be directed by Sean Anders and is set to star Jennifer Aniston. There is already a fake poster circulating the web featuring Aniston alongside Cameron Diaz and Sandra Bullock. Think better boob jobs, tastier hump-day treats and hair that is actually insured for $10,000. Like Mean Girls, the film is based on the advice books by Rosalind Wiseman, in this case Queen Bee Moms & Kingpin Dads: Dealing With the Parents, Teachers, Coaches, and Counselors Who Can Make – or Break – Your Child's Future. While it's unclear whether or not original Mean Girls writer/producer Tina Fey is involved in the project, we hope she gets on a four-way phone call soon to save Mean Moms from the DVD clearance bin.
