But they've probably never been on camera like this before. In their fictional TV debut, Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina play themselves in a cameo role on House of Cards. With the third season out now on Netflix, you can watch Pussy Riot do what they do best: piss off Putin. Or at least, a thinly-disguised television version of Putin. In the third episode, Pussy Riot attend a state dinner held by machiavellian US President Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey), along with Russian President Viktor Petrov. After a slightly tense meet and greet, Pussy Riot and activist Pyotr Verzilov (also playing himself) interrupt Petrov's fancy toast with a tirade against the Kremlin leader. "To Viktor Petrov, whose loyalty runs so deep he’s given his friends half of the country, who's so open to criticism that most of his critics are in prison," Tolokonnikova, Alyokhina and Verzilov declare, before smashing their glasses on the floor and walking out. The episode closes with Pussy Riot's new song, "Don't Cry Genocide", which was written with Le Tigre.
