Presumably it’s also about being financially literate, as the Texan rapper has just partnered with Cash App to drop a series of educational videos about investing and Bitcoin. “Hey Hotties. Let’s talk about Bitcoin,” Megan says in one of two filmed explainers. “It’s the new digital currency that’s been getting a lot of hype. Bitcoin is a new kind of money. While the cash in your wallet is issued and regulated by governments, Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency. Like a wild stallion, it can’t be controlled by anyone.” While answering questions like ‘Why is Bitcoin valuable?’ and ‘Why does Bitcoin’s price change?’, Megan prunes a hedge in the shape of a dollar, stacks gold bars, and sips tea poured by a topless hunk (which, TBH, should be the format for all academia moving forward). “Investing For Hotties” sees Megan dropping pearls of wisdom about buying stocks and building up your portfolio via a series of regular investments, “so you buy the dips and ride the waves without having to think about it”. “With my knowledge and your hustle? You’ll have your own empire in no time,” she says. “I’ll see you at the top.” It’s a long way to the top, though: Megan is famously savvy when it comes to the business world, as she’s a brand ambassador for Revlon (check out her recent line of ultra-exclusive make-up kits) as well as for Savage x Fenty. It’s probably here that we should point out that investing (especially in crypto) can be risky and you could lose the money that you put in. But at the same time, happy investing, hotties!
