U okay?’ShareLink copied ✔️December 23, 2020Science & TechNewsTextGünseli Yalcinkaya In another edition of things you never knew you needed (see: Lorde’s onion ring Instagram account), a new AI bot has been released that ridicules people’s music tastes. Created by digital publication The Pudding, the ‘How Bad Is Your Spotify?’ bot judges “your awful taste in music” using “sophisticated AI” based on “over two million indicators of objectively good music, including Pitchfork reviews, record store recommendations, and subreddits you‘ve never heard of”. After users log in with their Spotify account, the bot searches through their listening behaviours and roasts them accordingly. One Twitter user was told: “You are 38 per cent basic. Most of your music comes straight from iHeartRadio. lol Drake... You’re stuck in the early 2010s. You only listen to Obama-era jams.” Another one was told: “Oh great, another Phoebe Bridgers stan… You’ve been listening to a lot of Phoebe Bridgers lately. U okay?” Read some of our favourite responses below, and try it for yourself here.
