The song is an undeniable banger, but, as it turns out, is also a Russian cereal advert. The catchy tune is a cover of a commercial for Kelloggs’ Miel Pops (AKA Honey Loops), in which a cowboy bee introduces a band of bees who perform the track in their hive (while holding bits of cereal). This information was revealed on TikTok – where the song has gone viral, primarily due to a clip of a llama dancing in a desert – by user Ashley Sonlin, who posted a much-needed explainer. Sonlin then shared a follow-up video tagging the singer who covered the track in the viral version. That artist is Russian musician @chernaya.princessa, who posted her own video about the song, known on TikTok as “THIS SONG ISNTT ABOUT BREAD Stop mipansusus – itzmilpops”. @chernaya.princessa’s voice has been sped up for the viral track, and was taken from a video she shared over a month ago of her covering the Miel Pops ad. Now you know its origins (videos linked below), please enjoy some of the most bizarre clips soundtracked by it.
