20/20 Visions: Eleanor Hardwick

Picking up her first camera when she was twelve years old, Eleanor Hardwick’s imaginative snaps erupted in the early days of Flickr. “I think being born in the 90s has been really valuable for me and other young artists. We are the first generation brought up on the Internet, which is a level playing field for younger artists to learn, experiment and become recognized.” Originally from Reading, Hardwick is grateful for her early rise. If anything, it’s given her a platform from which she has sprung to collaborate with the likes of Meadham Kirchoff and Rookie magazine. After a brief jaunt to Japan this year, she’s got many an unsatisfied itch. “Settling down to something is unlikely to be what will make me happy. There is so much I want to do... travel, make a book, make more short films...”
