It’s official, London has finally made its yearly transition from ‘too cold’ to ‘too hot’, and the summer anthems are playing full volume in the Dazed office this month. 

Of course, pop’s newest priestess Addison Rae dropped “Summer Forever” off her fun debut Addison. But, elsewhere, Lorde completes her Virgin campaign by frolicking in Hampstead Heath’s ponds in the music video for progressive pop single “Hammer”, Detroit club meets Ghanaian highlife in Amaarae’s new album-launching single “S.M.O.” and Caroline Polachek makes not one but two appearances on our monthly playlist (great news for all the south London Lime Bike baddies).

Still, in the middle of these landmark releases, make sure not to miss BAMBII’s latest EP Infinity Club II, which travels the multiverse of club sonics with an Avengers-like assembly of choice features. There’s R&B star Ravyn Lenae, rap gigachad JELEEL!, house producer and vocalist Yaeji, and even local UK grime and garage legends Scrufizzer, Lady Lykez and £Monzo.

Rounding things off, British-born, California-based R&B artist gets the star patches out on new single “Skincare Riddim” featuring AntsLive and Flatbush Zombies producer Erick the Architect; alternative K-Pop supergroup Balming Tiger links up with J-Pop girl group Atarashii Gakko! for the characteristically bonkers single “Narani Narani”, and mythical Blah Records wordsmith Trellion makes a surprise return after his 2018 heart attack on the Danny Lover-assisted album Ok, the fire (on which he finally confirms that he has not, in fact, been running an Italian restaurant in Sheffield for the last seven years – iykyk).
