via Instagram/@eliantteMusicNewsLil Uzi Vert got a $24 million diamond implanted in his forehead… why?‘A lot of M’s in my face’ShareLink copied ✔️February 4, 2021MusicNewsTextThom Waite Lil Uzi Vert is already known for pushing the boundaries of fashion, whether he’s playing American football in a pleated skirt by Thom Browne, or challenging friend-turned-nemesis Playboi Carti to a “dress-off” (Dazed already put the rappers’ lewks head-to-head, to see who would emerge victorious). Now, though, Uzi appears to have taken it to the next level, with an unusual (and obviously very expensive) body mod. The Eternal Atake rapper first teased that he was planning to embed a $24 million flawless pink diamond – ”10, almost 11 carats” – in his forehead last month. “I’ve been paying for a natural pink diamond from Elliot for years now,” he writes in a January 30 tweet, referring to the New York-based jeweller Elliot Eliantte. “This one stone cost so much I’ve been paying for it since 2017. That was the first time I saw a real natural pink diamond,” he adds. “A lot of M’s in my face.” I’ve been paying for a natural pink diamond from Elliot for years now . On February 3, Eliantte posted a video of a pink-diamond-studded Uzi in the studio, looking like he’s about to make a cameo appearance in Uncut Gems. The rapper also shows off the pink diamond in his own video shared to Instagram February 3 (watch below). In a subsequent Instagram story, he assures concerned fans that the diamond will be more centred on his forehead when the swelling goes down. Good to know. Safe to say, we have plenty of other questions about the body mod (as does a large part of Uzi’s fanbase). Is he a Marvel fan, or a Pokemon fan? Will he wear it to bed? Is there, maybe, a more productive way to spend $24 million? Whether further updates will shed any more light remains to be seen.
