Earlier this week, Lady Gaga showed up to the ballot box in shiny, pink, sky-high platform boots, marrying her iconic fashion with her ongoing drive to get people to vote in the upcoming US presidential election. Now, she’s pushed that connection even further, revisiting a range of her most legendary looks to encourage Americans to make their voice heard.

“So, the election,” the Chromatica singer says at the start of the October 30 video, wearing a metallic dress seen during her Monster Ball shows. “We’re almost there. We need to talk.”

After thanking those that already voted – and giving them a round of applause – Gaga goes on: “I need to talk to people who don’t have a plan to vote, are undecided, people who are unsure if they even believe in voting at all.”

“I believe, no matter how you feel right now about the election, you are still accountable. Maybe you’re sick of all the fighting, or you’re frustrated by COVID and don’t want to deal with it, or maybe you dislike all the candidates. Maybe you feel so discouraged by the state of our nation that you’ve decided you don’t believe in voting because you feel it’s better not to be a part of the system.”

“If you want to change this system, if you want this country to be different than it is right now, you have got to participate in this election.”

While Lady Gaga speaks on voting for change, she also switches between a range of outfits from across her career, including her infamous meat dress from the 2010 VMAs, her blue bodysuit from the “Poker Face” music video, her sparkly spacesuit from the Super Bowl, and looks from the Joanne era.

“I’ve never been shy to make my voice heard,” she concludes. “I’ve said a lot of things in a lot of different ways, wearing a lot of different outfits, make-up, hats, dresses made out of meat, jumping off of stadiums, screaming onstage. I may have seemed to shift and change, but one thing that has never changed is my voice, and what I believe.”
