During that time, E.M.M.A. founded Producergirls, the UK’s first free-to-attend beginners’ workshops for women and non-binary artists looking to learn electronic music production; soundtracked short films; lent her music to a Tippi Hedren-starring Timepieces and Jewellery campaign for Gucci; and released EPs for Astral Plane, Coyote, and her own Pastel Prism record labels. Where Blue Gardens brought stirring synth melodies to the rhythms of UK club music, Indigo Dream slows things down to a much more meditative pace. Her distinctive synth sound and richly emotional composition still drives the record – it sounds at once cosmic yet earthly, with melodies that wash over you like a dream. Elsewhere this week, Dominic Fike drops his eagerly anticipated debut What Could Possibly Go Wrong, while Brandy proves peerless on B7. Take a listen below.
