Grimes takes a picture of Kanye West and Elon Musk, memes predictably ensue

‘We are gonna get u outta there,’ fans told Grimes, after she was spotted taking the picture in a reflection

Kanye West’s association with SpaceX founder Elon Musk is nothing new; all the way back in 2015, when Ye graced the cover of TIME, Musk wrote an article praising him for the magazine. And Kanye has since returned the favour, telling people to “leave Elon alone” in 2018 (coincidentally, a year that the entrepreneur made some particularly bad decisions).

Proving that the friendship is still very much alive, Kanye posed with Musk for a quick pic July 1 (maybe you don’t have to wear a mask if you’re both billionaires?) with the caption: “When you go to your boys house and you’re both wearing orange.”

Twitter users were also quick to point out that the picture – which was posted by Kanye on the platform – appeared to have been taken by Grimes, just visible in the reflection of a window behind the pair.

This has also led people to question whether Elon and Kanye are getting together for business, or for some kind of joint family get-together (presumably Kim Kardashian and X AE A-XII are just out of frame).

Of course, there are also memes. Some taking the traditional white-text-overlay format, while others suggest an upcoming collab (given Elon Musk’s previous musical efforts), or straight-up call for the rescue of Grimes. View a round-up of the best below.
