Grimes has teamed up with emerging new talent Ashnikko for a new single, “Cry”.

“Cry” is about a breakdown of a friendship after a betrayal. “I have wanted to work with Grimes for 100 million years and now it's happening… a dream!” Ashnikko explains in a press release. “She is singing with me on an angry ass song about my ex-best friend sleeping with my boyfriend… sublime!!!”

Grimes added, quite simply: “Ashnikko rules and the song is great!”

Its video, directed by Mike Anderson, shows Ashnikko and Grimes rendered in 3D in a psychedelic sci-fi environment, which Ashnikko appearing as a demon hunting down prey.
