Lady Gaga announces the new release date for Chromatica

The singer’s sixth studio album is coming later this month

Earlier this year (March 24), Lady Gaga announced that she would be postponing the April release of her sixth studio album, Chromatica, due to coronavirus, saying: “it just doesn’t feel right to me to release this album with all that is going on during this global pandemic.”

At the time, we weren’t given an expected release date, but a new announcement confirms that the delayed album is coming later this month, May 29.

We’ve got a pretty good idea of what we can expect when the time comes, too. The leaked (and then officially confirmed) tracklist includes some big collabs from Ariana Grande, Blackpink, and Elton John. The lead single, “Stupid Love”, premiered in late February, along with a video featuring Gaga as an iconic, intergalactic space goddess.

In the interim, Lady Gaga has also been contributing to the effort against COVID-19, helping to raise millions through One World: Together at Home, a huge, star-studded virtual concert featuring Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Elton John, and many more.
