Taking to Twitter, the star explained the decision was “incredibly tough” and that a new release date will be set later this year. “This is such a hectic and scary time for all of us,” she said. “And while I believe art is one of the strongest things we have to provide joy and healing to each other during times like this, it just doesn’t feel right to me to release this album with all that is going on during this global pandemic.” Suggesting that during this time we should be “focusing on finding solutions”, the singer did, however, go on to say that she hopes to go on as planned with her The Chromatica Ball tour, slated to begin later this summer. Detailing some of the things she had coming up, such as a surprise set at Coachella, which will now be taking place in October, the “Bad Romance” singer also revealed there are “a lot of other fun surprises” she plans to share very soon. Stay tuned. Finishing off the message with a look to the future, Gaga said: “I want us to be able to dance together, sweat together, hug and kiss each other… Until that time comes, LET’S ALL STAY HOME!” Which doesn’t mean we can’t listen to “Stupid Love”, on repeat, in our rooms, all alone until the album drops.
