Music / NewsMusic / NewsTroye Sivan will ‘leak’ new music from quarantineAnd the singer wants to collaborate with freelance artists also in lockdownShareLink copied ✔️March 21, 2020March 21, 2020Text Thom Waite “We’re going rogue,” Troye Sivan wrote in an Instagram post yesterday, tagging his record labels and adding: “I would like to release new music I just decided.” Evidently, the decision was made six days into quarantine (enough to make anyone a little bit chaotic), and Sivan also wants to help out other artists in the same position as they isolate due to coronavirus. In the post, he adds: “Freelance artists (graphic designers, animation artists) hmu I want to work with you and take the money I would be spending on music videos and give it to you.” “This is a tough and scary time and I feel so lucky to have music and art to get me through emotionally and financially and I want to share that so bad.” Presumably, this means that we could be seeing a lot of new Troye Sivan content (including fan collaborations) coming our way soon. According to a recent Twitter post, the master of an upcoming song is already approved, though the release date is still to be announced as it has to pass through various hoops to hit streaming services. Sivan is here to reassure fans that it will be coming “soon as hell” though, adding in a Twitter post March 20: “Maybe I can say the date tomorrow.” Me making important life decisions on Instagram live 6 days into quarantine pic.twitter.com/ezXb3Ieb42— troye (@troyesivan) March 20, 2020Escape the algorithm!
