Christine and the Queens is back with a new song, “People, I’ve Been Sad” (or as it’s stylised, “People, I’ve been sad” – no title cases here).

“People, I’ve been sad” is the French artist’s first new solo song since her 2018 album Chris. She previously released “Gone”, her stunning collaboration with Charli XCX, in 2019 – it was one of Dazed’s favourite songs of the year.

The track follows 18 months of live shows, collaborations, and awards. To coincide with its release, Chris also performed it live in a COLORS session, dressed in a fitted suit.
