Joining her will be Usher and Sheila E, a percussionist and longtime collaborator of the legendary musician. FKA twigs – who is nominated for a Grammy in the Best Music Video category, for “Cellophane” – made the announcement in an interview on Beats 1, and yesterday (January 25) gave a shoutout to her collaborators on Twitter. @SheilaEdrummer@Usher ❤️ https://t.co/su96hiXSOa— FKA twigs (@FKAtwigs) January 25, 2020 She’s previously spoken out about her admiration for Prince in a 2016 profile with Dazed, in which she said: “The main thing about Prince is his ability.” “Everything he did, every piece of work he made, was so genuine and truthful, and I think that can be an inspiration to all of us.” The Grammys will also be hosting a concert dedicated to Prince two days after the ceremony itself (January 28), called: Let’s Go Crazy: The Grammy Salute to Prince. Performers slated to appear include St Vincent, Beck, Foo Fighters, and many more. Sheila E will act as a musical director for the show, as well as performing alongside the acts.
