Step inside the world of Cornucopia with cover star Björk

As she covers our winter 2019 issue and brings her immersive theatre show to Europe, the visionary singer takes over Dazed and invites you for a multi-sensory tour of Cornucopia

To celebrate Björk hitting the cover of Dazed, the Icelandic genius has taken over Dazed Digital and Dazed Beauty, inviting you into the world of Cornucopia, the experimental theatre show that Björk has brought to London this November.

For the cover of our winter 2019 Family Ties issue, two generations of Dazed family members came together for a spellbinding cover shoot. Two decades after she first graced the cover of Dazed, visionary and original Dazed family member Björk was shot and styled in her native Iceland by Harley Weir and Robbie Spencer (who also celebrated his final issue as Fashion and Creative Director).

This week, Björk brought her immersive, multisensory Cornucopia theatre performance to London, and to celebrate, she is taking over Dazed Digital and Dazed Beauty with a 360 degree glimpse behind the scenes of the show. On Dazed Digital, a roundtable of her collaborators, from all-female flute collective Viibra to Shane Myrbeck, the architect behind her husk-like reverb chamber provide an oral history of Cornucopia, while choreographer Margrét Bjarnadóttir reflects on bringing Cornucopia’s alien dancers to life and how Björk’s music guided her to discover new moves in herself. Stylist Edda Gudmundsdottir talks about Olivier Rousteing’s amorphous, ethereal custom Balmain looks she curated alongside Björk for the show – and our cover story – and, in an excerpt originally published in the Cornucopia tour booklet, the singer and Sufi mystic Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee sit down for a rare conversation about nature, spirituality and how to respond to “the cry of the Earth”

On Dazed Beauty, artist James Merry speaks about the making of the custom face pieces he created for the singer, digital artist Tobias Gremmler dives into Cornucopia’s otherworldly VR art and “distorted drag queen” and DB community make-up artist Hungry reflects on touring with Björk
