Titled ERYS (yes that’s SYRE backwards), the 17-track record features collaborations with artists including Tyler, the Creator, A$AP Rocky, Kid Cudi, and his sister Willow. The musician-slash-actor unveiled new single “Again”, featuring producer SYRE, earlier this week, while the other 16 tracks are previously unheard. In an interview with Beats 1, Jaden considered the different personalities of the two albums, telling Zane Lowe: “SYRE is the nice one, kind of the more sensitive one, and ERYS is just kind of like, don’t really care at all.” #ERYS Album Out Now https://t.co/kWCqKqWmdxpic.twitter.com/9gl6yHjPYS— Jaden (@jaden) July 5, 2019 Also discussing the album’s collaborative artists, Jaden said he got “Tyler’s verse so last minute, like right at the deadline of the album”, and described Kid Cudi as his favourite artist, explaining: “Something that people don’t know is me and Cudi have been making songs together since before I released my first project. He’s kind of been mentoring me my entire exploration through music.” Outside of music, Jaden is set to star in the upcoming TV series Omniverse in which he’ll play an alternate reality Kanye West. The show will examine “the many doors of perception”, with Kanye – obviously – being a vehicle to explore the Ego. Listen to ERYS in full below.
