If you’re in any way familiar with Tyler’s backstory with the UK you’ll know this is a big deal, since he’s been banned since 2015 over song lyrics released way back in 2009. With the rapper’s appearance in Central London, though, comes news of a surprise gig this afternoon (May 18). Specifically, he will be appearing at the Bussey Building in Peckham at 3PM. COPELAND PARK, BUSSEY BUILDING, 3PM— Tyler, The Creator (@tylerthecreator) May 18, 2019 If this morning’s picture is anything to go by, the luckier fans will be able to see him perform in his blonde wig from the new “Earfquake” video (with the pink and red get-up from his previous album teasers). Get to Peckham, basically. Update (15:30 May 18): Unfortunately the show was cancelled before even getting started, with Tyler tweeting: “too rowdy, cops cancelled it, go home, i tried, the gate climbing nail in the coffin, they got nervous, too bad was a cool idea but hey…” Hopefully another ban isn’t headed his way.
