It will be the rapper and singer’s first live action film role (she previously lent her voice to the animated feature Uglydolls). Lizzo will join a cast that also includes Jennifer Lopez, Constance Wu, Lili Reinhart, Keke Palmer, Julia Stiles, and more. Details of her role have yet to be revealed. Hustlers is based on “The Hustlers at Scores”, an article published in The Cut in 2015. The story followed a group of strippers who conned Wall Street workers out of money. Production on the film is currently underway in New York, with a September 13 release date planned.
