Not only has she put out the single “We Appreciate Power”, she’s also featured on a number of collaborations, be it Janelle Monáe’s “PYNK”, K-pop group Loona’s “Love4eva”, or Jimmy Urine (of Mindless Self Indulgence)’s “The Medicine Does Not Control Me”. Now, she adds another to her list – “nihilist blues”, a team-up with Bring Me the Horizon. “nihilist blues” is taken from the metalcore group’s really-not-very-metal new album amo. The track has shades of trance and stadium pop, but it still has a propulsive, aggressive energy. It’s maybe an unexpected collaboration on paper, but fairly consistent given the recent pop-metal sound of Grimes’s Poppy collaboration “Play Destroy” or the industrial direction of her own “We Appreciate Power”.
