First, though, two episodes of the hip hop doc will premiere at Sundance, on January 28. It won’t be one to miss for fans of the Wu, either, featuring interviews with all nine of the group’s living members. It will be directed by Sacha Jenkins, who previously helmed Fresh Dressed (a look at the history of urban fashion) and Burn Motherfucker, Burn! (a film about tensions between the LAPD and the African-American community). If that’s not enough, though, Shomi Patwary’s documentary on the group’s seminal debut album, For The Children: 25 Years of Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), released last November.
