Kanye West didn’t drop Yandhi and the internet has a lot to say

Kanye West’s SNL appearance last night was supposed to coincide with the release of his new album, Yandhi (the name being to Gandhi what Yeezus is to Jesus, presumably).

The release was always slated to be a controversial one; not only has Kanye made a habit of wearing a Trump-aligning MAGA hat to pretty much every conceivable event lately – including last night’s SNL appearance – the album is also reported to feature rappers XXXtentacion and 6ix9ine.

It’s a different kind of controversy that Yandhi’s release has been met with so far, though. Though SNL aired last night, the record hasn’t actually appeared yet, and despite the fact Kanye isn’t exactly the most reliable figure in the public eye, people are variously upset, mad, and mocking.
