With posts from Ariana Grande, Post Malone, and Dev Hynes, among many more
Tributes were posted by figures from across the music industry following the passing of Mac Miller, who was found dead at 26 in his home on Friday afternoon (September 7). Initial reactions came from Solange, Jaden Smith, and Chance the Rapper, among others.
Now others have spoken out to memorialise the Pittsburgh rapper. Post Malone took to Twitter to say, “You inspired me throughout highschool, and I wouldn’t be where I was today without you.” Thundercat – who made a series of posts – Dev Hynes, Lil Yachty, Black Star’s Talib Kweli, and more all similarly paid tribute to Miller on social media.
Ariana Grande, who dated Miller for two years, has also broken her silence on his death, posting a touching picture of him on her Instagram with no caption. This follows the singer having to turn her Instagram comments off over the weekend after some were seen to be blaming her for Miller’s death, suggesting that their breakup was a cause.
We’ve collected a selection of the tributes below.
Rest in your peace Mac Miller.

Always exuded so much kindness and goodness.
Thank you for sharing your gifts with us all.
God fucking dammit. You were such an incredible person. You changed so many lives. Had so much love in your heart. You inspired me throughout highschool, and I wouldn't be where I was today without you. Never a more kind and sincere and beautiful person. I fucking love you mac.
