On “Suspirium”, Yorke’s always-beautiful voice floats sparsely over a piano, duetting with a mournful flute. Top tip: don’t listen if you’re feeling emotionally fragile RN. Yorke also announced in a tweet that the full soundtrack would be released via XL Recordings on October 26. Luca Guadagnino’s Suspiria is a remake of the 1977 horror classic, which had a cult soundtrack by Italian prog rock band Goblin. Yorke’s version will contain 25 compositions, and will be available as a double vinyl package. He recently told BBC 6 Music: “Normally (scoring) a horror movie involves orchestras, these specific things… But Luca, the director, and Walter, the editor, are very much, like, find your own path with it… I just have to find a way into it.” Watch the latest Suspiria teaser here, and revisit our 2013 cover story with Thom Yorke here.
