You’re gonna be so fucking sick of me”, she wrote on Instagram. Making good on the promise, today she's shared her new single “5 In The Morning”, the first since her Pop 2 mixtape last December. “5 In The Morning” is a moody, AutoTune party track for independent women. Charli sings, “I'm busy balling,” over a trap drum beat. The track was produced by Invisible Men, who have worked with artists like Sia and Zayn Malik in the past. On Pop 2, PC Music’s A.G Cook was credited on every song; this single diverges from the PC music influence, but still bangs. Earlier this month, Charli featured on the song “Girls” along with Cardi B, Rita Ora, and Bebe Rexha. The controversial song received backlash for stereotyping the bisexual and lesbian community. “I think the conversation and dialogue around this song is really important”, Charli told Rolling Stone. ”I try so hard to be as involved with the LGBTQ community as possible. Without that community, my career would not really be anything”. Listen to “5 In The Morning” below.
