Case in point: the album that got her through her two-year prison sentence? Ariana Grande’s Sweetener. “My bunkie Caitlyn, she’s a cool white bitch, was obsessed with Ariana Grande, and we listened to that album over and over and over. It just put me on a cloud,” JT explains in her new Dazed Guide to Being video. “By the end, I became more of an Arianator than her!” Elsewhere in the video, JT expresses her love for her hairless dog, Baby Skrilla, reminisces on her time in rap groups The Protegees and City Girls, and dreams of an eventual wedding to Lil Uzi Vert. “One day I do want to get married – and I speak that into existence all the time – I don’t know when it will be, but I definitely hope that it would be with him,” she says, referring to her long-running relationship with the rapper. As for the wedding dress, JT hopes that a designer will make her something “a little funky, a little fun”, shouting out her favourite fashion brands, Mugler and DSquared2. “I don’t like when people talk shit about them, because they are really genuine people. A lot of these brands, we can spend so much money on and they would never ever acknowledge me, but I was just on FaceTime with Michelle [Lamy] the other day, she is so cool,” JT reflects.
