Go behind the scenes of rag & bone’s surreal, Thom Yorke-scored short film

Why Can’t We Get Along stars Baby Driver’s Ansel Elgort and House of Cards’ Kate Mara

Thom Yorke’s relationship with rag & bone stretches back a few years now, with the Radiohead frontman having soundtracked several of its runway shows in the past. More recently Yorke contributed to the brand’s new short film, Why Can’t We Get Along, providing minimal electronics and ghostly vocals to its score.

Co-directed by Benjamin Millepied, Aaron Duffy, and Bob Partington, the film stars Ansel Elgort (Baby Driver) and Kate Mara (House of Cards) alongside eight members of the American Ballet Theater, three hiplet ballerinas, YouTube/musical.ly sensation Kandi Reign, and three members of Bullettrun Parkour. It’s a six-and-a-half minute short packed with surreal imagery and a keen sense of movement.

A behind-the-scenes video shows how the ambitious shoot was achieved, looking into the physical and practical effects that went in front of the camera.
