A trailer for the film features a cover of folk standard “An Acre of Land”, as Pitchfork report. Directed by Clio Barnard and set in rural Yorkshire, Dark River follows two siblings (played by Ruth Wilson and Mark Stanley) whose relationship is pushed over an inheritance dispute. Sean Bean also appears in the film. Earlier this year PJ Harvey released a double A-sided single, “A Dog Called Money” and “I’ll Be Waiting”, as well as a song “The Camp” with Egyptian artist Ramy Essam, both of which followed her 2016 album The Hope Six Demolition Project.
