This week’s pick of the best new songs features heart-on-sleeve lyrics from young Texan rapper Kevin Abstract, metal-clanging percussion from Bonzai, and a Madonna-recalling remix of Shura’s “Nothing’s Real”. There are also two tracks – a twisted Beyoncé edit by club experimentalist Lotic, and a new blast by Run The Jewels – that were both released in the aftermath of Donald Trump’s election and that, in their own way, comment on this strange, scary new chapter in America’s history.
