The approaching presidential election has brought together the feminist electro pop group, made up of Riot-Grrrl queen Kathleen Hanna, JD Samson and Johanna Fateman. 2004’s The Island was the band’s last release previously. Since then, Hanna has worked with her other band, The Julie Ruin, and Samson with MEN. “Trump thinks Putin is a strong leader, just like him – a facist bottom feeder building a wall is his greatest vision, bigotry colours his every decision,” the track, “I’m With Her”, relates. “She’s with us, we won’t stop”, “Bye Bye, Trump has got to go” they sing-talk over the Lara Parnes-directed video, featuring some pantsuits, clips of Clinton during her campaign run and their typical DIY aesthetic.
