The event, which took place over two days, was curated by the cult auteur, and featured a mixture of film screenings, live performances, exhibits and other special events. This included talks with architect Frank Gehry, Laura Dern, Debbie Harry and John Malkovich (who recently revived several of the director’s most famous characters for his new ‘Playing Lynch’ project). Arguably the biggest draw of the event, however, was the musical line-up. The director managed to lure in performances from Robert Plant, St.Vincent and Jon Hopkins over the weekend, as well as a several more Lynchian performances. The music of Twin Peaks was brought to life with Grammy Award-winning composer Angelo Badalamenti, Xiu Xiu, Julee Cruise and Sky Ferreira. Mulholland Drive’s Rebekah Del Rio also took to the stage at the end of the event to revive her classic performance from the original film. Footage of the event was captured by attendees on social media, with much of it capturing the dreamy, surreal atmosphere Lynch has become famous for.
