Sirens is Jaar’s second full-length album, and his first since 2011’s Space Is Only Noise. In the intervening years, the NYC-based Chilean electronic musician released the soundtrack album Pomegranates and issued a collaborative long-player with Dave Harrington under the name Darkside. The six-track Sirens is a gorgeous, slow-burning record that’s described in a press release as the artist’s most “topically cohesive and politically-minded record to date”. It’s streaming on Channel 333 of The Network, Jaar’s ambitious new online project. The stream also includes a bonus track titled “Wildflower”. You can listen to the album here, and buy it via Nicolas Jaar’s own label Other People from September 30. Revisit our 2013 cover story Darkside. Escape the algorithm!
