The band launched the account with a timeline of their decade and a half-long careeer, starting with a commemoration of their Tomorrow Comes Today EP from 2000, taking in various music videos, graphics, and live performances. Amongst other things, the band also shared their first ever cover feature – which just so happened to be with a certain Dazed & Confused. “First cover”, they wrote, “@dazed believed us!” The timeline arrives at a period of heightened activity from the band. Earlier this year, Gorillaz revealed that they were working on new music for the first time in five years. Later, footage emerged of them in the studio, followed by news that De La Soul and Snoop Dogg had both recorded sessions for the album. Check out the timeline on Instagram, and keep your eyes peeled for further updates from the group. Escape the algorithm!
