The routine was recreated at G.O.O.D Music’s pop-up in New York yesterday (September 8). Taylor, who had just modelled for Kanye’s Yeezy show at Roosevelt Island, was wearing pieces from the artist’s Season Four collection. According to attendees, she performed the whole incredible routine at the event (minus the cat face, shower scene and baby lambs), with some guests capturing the moment on social media. In a recent interview with Vogue, the singer revealed that parts of the “Fade” choreography were originally meant for Beyoncé. “The dance scene at the very, very end, maybe the last eight counts that I did; me and one of my homeboys Matthew Pasterisa actually made that choreography for Beyoncé for when the “End of Time” came out,” Taylor shared. “She loved it but she wound up not being able to use it because she was pregnant, but back then the world didn’t know. All this time that choreography was just sitting there. And as soon as I was freestyling it just came out naturally.” Watch footage from the event below, or check out the singer’s new stop-motion video for “Champions” here.
