While our fingers are crossed that the album will still arrive at some point today, in the meantime you can tide yourself over by listening to the gorgeous instrumentals that have been intermittently playing during the singer’s livestreaming event. Started on Monday, the livestream slowly revealed images of Ocean chopping wood, eventually revealing that he’d been building and painting a set of boxes for unknown reasons. While the footage played, snippets of instrumental music began, including solo guitar tracks, ambient pads, and orchestral music. As Hypebeast report, a Soundcloud user has collected the tracks into a single playlist, which is available below. It’s not much, but at this point we’ll take anything. Listen to the tracks below, and in the meantime recap on everything that’s happened in the world since Ocean started working on his new album. Escape the algorithm!
