Speaking in a powerful video produced by Mic for the We Are Here movement, an organisation established by Alicia Keys to campaign for social justice issues, the musicians detail the ways that “you could be killed if you are black in America”, as The FADER report. The videos – titled 23 Voices – see each of the artists show the name of a black person that has been killed in America, explain what they were doing when they were killed, and display a photo of the victim. Other artists involved in the project include Pharrell, A$AP Rocky, and Zoe Kravitz.
