MusicNewsCome with us to a dream Croatian island this summerDazed is teaming up with the brains behind Unknown to present a new festival on an uninhabited Croatian islandShareLink copied ✔️July 8, 2016MusicNewsTextAlessandra Scotto di Santolo Croatia has become something of a raving mecca. Now the heavyweights of nightlife and good times, the creators of Unknown have taken it one step further and have actually acquired an uninhabited Croatian island, a dreamy location perched on the Adriatic where you can party and then spend the day reaching peak wellness in a Zen Den, seeing comedy shows or getting enlightened by creative talks. Dazed are happy to announce a partnership with the new Obonjan Festival and Dr Dre’s protege Anderson .Paak – the West-Coast based rapper-singer-songwriter will be performing with The Free Nationals band, along with Dazed DJs. Expect everything from the electronic pop and R&B sound of Jessy Lanza to South London hip hop of Loyle Carner and the opiate vibes of Gaussian Curve and Gigi Masin. Performing live will also be Floating Points, Shura, Omar, Gold Panda, and UK rapper Akala. The six-week long creative programme contrasts night beach parties, with talks, workshops and excursions, as well as meditation, fitness and yoga classes. In addition to the music and wellbeing programme, an open air cinema will show cult classics, critically acclaimed documentaries and talks with artists such as Nick Jankel and Ed Bloomer. The Dazed team will be covering some of the major gigs on offer on what’s now the most attractive island of the Adriatic Sea. Look out for exclusive interviews, photos and videos of great performers. If you feel like sacking off muddy feet and warm beer in tents, you can buy your ticket here. The island opens its doors on the 28th of July to the 6th of September. Expand your creative community and connect with 15,000 creatives from around the world.READ MOREFrost Children answer the dA-Zed quizThe 5 best features from PinkPantheress’ new remix albumZimmermannKindred spirits and psychedelic florals: Zimmermann heads to 70s Sydney Moses Ideka is making pagan synth-folk from the heart of south LondonBehind-the-scenes at Oklou and FKA twigs’ new video shootBjörk calls for the release of musician ‘kidnapped’ by Israeli authorities‘Her dumbest album yet’: Are Swifties turning on Taylor Swift?IB Kamara on branching out into musicEnter the K-Bass: How SCR revolutionised Korean club culture‘Comic Con meets underground rap’: Photos from Eastern Margins’ day festWho are H.LLS?
