Music / NewsRose McGowan and Yoko Ono team up for new music video‘Catman’ is taken from the artist’s new remix album, Yes I’m A Witch TooShareLink copied ✔️July 7, 2016MusicNewsTextDominique Sisley Yoko Ono has joined forces with activist Rose McGowan for her latest music video, “Catman”. Originally taken from her 1973 album Approximately Infinite Universe, the track has now been remixed by Miike Snow for the artist’s February-released LP Yes, I'm a Witch Too. The video for the single, which was directed by McGowan, features glitchy footage of what appears to be an improvised dance class. In it, a girl wearing a cat mask teaches a group of older women – including one who apparently has cancer – an avant-garde choreography sequence. “Yoko Ono has been an ardent supporter of women and modern dance for years and so I wanted to thank her for that,” McGowan said in a statement following the video’s release. “Casting women dancers over 60, including one with cancer, was my way of showing that vitality doesn't die with age. I used colour overlays to create my own visual beat. Very proud to be in Ono world, it's an important one.” Yes, I'm a Witch Too is available now, and features remixes and collaborations from Moby, tUnE-yArDs, and Death Cab For Cutie.
