We’re only a few breaths into the New Year, but a lot has changed since this time last month. Our favourite orange-haired Peckham boy King Krule AKA Archy Marshall is back into our lives and speakers for good via astonishing album A New Place 2 Drown (which ranked at no.3 on our ‘Top 20 Albums of 2015’), Kanye West’s upcoming seventh album is starting to look like a reality, Timbaland finally dropped new Aaliyah music and Aphex Twin got wasted, uploaded new music and promptly deleted it (although we’ve put it on this playlist, obvs). It’s not all about the big names, though – as ever, we’ve included some lesser-known treasures, from LSDXOXO’s rework of Beyoncé to oddball rapper Kevin Abstract and Lauren Auder, the teen boy shaking up music’s internet underground.
